Sattu Drinks

Sattu is one of India's oldest energy foods: Bengal gram, slow-roasted and finely ground. For generations it has been the drink of Bihar's summers, mixed with cold water, salt and lemon, or with milk and jaggery for children.

Shumitra makes sattu the same way, then blends it with honest ingredients: real beetroot, apple and carrot; Indian cocoa; sprouted ragi from Karnataka; mint and jaljeera. Every pack is high in plant protein and dietary fibre, sweetened with jaggery rather than refined sugar, and free from artificial colours and preservatives.

Mix 2 to 3 tablespoons into a glass of cold water or milk for a drink that is ready in under a minute, or use it for parathas, litti and breakfast bowls.
